Belted Galloways in Derbyshire????

Trolled up to Galloway at Christmas and expected to see my favorite cow( yes I do have one)the Belted Galloway, all over the place. Not one, probably turned into sausages for the Christmas market. Any way we call these Moo Pandas due to their striking resemblance to those bamboo munching beasties. Found a herd of them wandering in the Derbyshire Dales, no I havn't Photoshopped them, they do have likkle legs, ideal for roly-poly countryside.

Had to boost the green to differentiate the cow from the background before I popped into channel mixer and did my usual stuff, added a bit of sepia to finish off!

Here's a Belted Galloway taking it's first steps.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9I-JoCOu64s

Away for a few days in Glasgow!

My boyfriend raises Belted Galways, I have yet to see his. Thanks for showing me.

Have you been walking round the fields near Glossop?!
And have you compared Belted Galloway fan club notes with artographer? He has a passion for them and has always wanted to line up a particular shot. You'll have to ask him for details and whether he has yet succeeded!
David Johnson: This was taken on the road from Sparrowpit to Castleton near a huge disused quarry, a field of all kinds of sheep were nearby but naffed off when I got close.I'll have to ask David about his Belted Galloway thing.....
