McDonalds Floater..Paradise Wharf

Ever wondered what it might be like wandering the nether regions of Manchester with some old fool with a battered Fuji, then click this    http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/258940

Yup its the Big UK Flckr meet here in Manchester, if anyone is the least bit interested then let me know and, if you are not already a Flckr fanatic like me, I can invite you along as a 'friend'

What a shock to go from the beautiful skyscape and waterscape to the McD trash. Great picture!
David Johnson: The enigma of regeneration, its like stuff is completed to 95% and then 'that'll do'...need to hop on that old soapbox and talk about legacies for future generations.

Ditto.
Love the reflection minus the rubbish.
David Johnson: Ah but then it wouldn't be Manchester, classy dresser but with its flies undone!

My screen only showed the top of this picture so I scrolled down and....voila! a burger box appeared! It was unexpected, and really made the shot.
David Johnson: Unbelievably still and tranquil area just behind Piccadilly Station, could be a fantatsic place for peeps to chill in the City....but the race to build yet more hotels/ apartments around these canal basins rushes ahead
A sad reminder of our wasteful society. A very well done, telling shot.
David Johnson: I'm sure that there's a project on the sadness of the blight of litter that piles up, but too much on the go at the moment.

Ooo look here it is again - can't cope with this photos in two places! Predictably I think its brilliant.
David Johnson: Cheers oh Maestro of the Dark Arts...and I don't mean old Austins, I was going to post the colour version but no one would believe me, whoops had cranked up the fuji and forgotten...doh!
I can't understand why people don't eat the carton and throw the burger away. We must be the worst litter louts in Europe if not the World. Good Picture.
David Johnson: Now steady Bill, I know what its like to be tottering on top of a soapbox....but spot on point!
Why are they not biodegradable? Great clouds Maxy.
Sorry can not make the Flickr meet, would have loved to. Wifes birthday so sneaking off may not go down too well, anyway, hope to be nursing a hangover.
David Johnson: What with me having 'man flu' and you getting a sore throat...is there a virus on this site..........lets hope the weather has been booked for the 14th could be a long day otherwise.
