photoblog image Yikes!!!!!

Yikes!!!!!

Blimey , think my sensor needs a clean. Thought this would be a good counterpoint to yesterdays full tonal Black and White. Part of the ongoing use it or bin it, hard drive clearout, have discovered a few gigs of stuff on my daughters laptop that I had forgotten about...........doh, will work through it as well. Oh this is near Redon en France, probably the last flowering sunflowers.

You are supposed to rinse the Ajax off after using it to clean your sensor.
Well - i do anyway.
David Johnson: Man at Jessops told me Cillit Bang cures this kind of problem. Left it to soak in some Dreft to see if that makes any difference

The flowers look like they are bowing their heads away from the strange sky, elbowing each other in the rush to get away!
David Johnson: When i grow sunflowers they have this stage, all nice and flowery followed by the torn to shreds stage by every bird that can get near them, not even my posse of pussies seems to deter them, need to ask a Frenchman how they do it.
Very dramatic effect. Looks like the flowers are running away from the sky. (:o)
David Johnson: More likely hanging their heds in shame ready for this weekends rugby!

Spot on David(no pun intended). How did you capture sunflowers in the middle of a snowstorm? Cracking image. David.
David Johnson: Get off the Skidoo would be the obvious answer.....Cheers Dave.
Looks like a nuclear explosion going on overhead. Love the effect. It's funny how sunflowers always turn to face the camera!
Ingrid
David Johnson: Tried to get in the middle but it was like trekking through brambles, had my shorts on,once a year exposure to the sun: probably not the best idea then.....

By the way I've got a sunflower image, coming up sometimeish, that was in full bloom Oct 2nd. richard.
David Johnson: Must go and find some more crappy bus shelter glazing before I'm rumbled, yup people still have them flowering on the allotments.

Yikes indeed. See we are enjoying the full pleasures of layering - cannot believe for one minute that is sand on your sensor! Just have to shave my head if I'm wrong!

Works though!
David Johnson: Just been putting some old beach stuff through the Pshop mangle, had to spot out 19 blodgy bits, they've all fallen off now so left with Mr Ed, my horseshoe shaped bit of fluff that refuses to depart. Gillette or Wilkinson???
this is a pretty amazing piece of work david...
David Johnson: See what happens when you have a day off and its raining!
Is that concrete for sky?
David Johnson: Finest quality bus stop acrylic
Nice experimental work, I like this very much!
David Johnson: Cheers mate, will probably turn down the volume for the next one.
My wife swears by Vanish, but I am still here so I can't see it being any better for cleaning sensors!

Don't you just love Sunflowers?
David Johnson: Aet!...I love sunflower seeds!
Fascinating, keep taking the tablets.
David Johnson: they do help, they really do.
