Off to a very good start! Nighttime is indeed the right time. Unfortunately I haven't had much opportunity lately.
David Johnson: Clocks change here in a week, Fall back time, so even more chance to do this sort of thing, gor some belters yesterday that I still have yo process.
really fantastic shot! I still think 4 seconds (what my camera allows) it is a little to get good results...
David Johnson: 4 seconds sounds okay, think the trick is having your camera on a tripod or wedged against something.
Nice one. Love this sort of stuff.
You've made me want to go out and start doing it again.
David Johnson: Clocks change soon so there'll be more night than day to mess with. Working at Farnworth near Bolton yesterday and there was a kink in the motorway and an orange sunset....I just hope there wasn't any operator error....

Great shot David - like molten steel, or do you have a curry house nearby? I've not tried any night shots - you've wet my appetite, thanks. David.
David Johnson: Get em shot get em on! I like all the differing light sources, halogen, sodium, fluorescent...er....when they all get jumbled up and make the AWB go bonkers.

Wow just amasing smile
David Johnson: Thanks Tracy!
Sucked in a good dose of exhaust fumes as well I expect. This sort of screams at you. richard.
David Johnson: I live about 100m off the A6 so I live for my daily dose of NOx and CO, hmmmm mmmmmmm, makes me the person I am today.
I think I got to have a go at night. Winter's a good time cos it's dark before my bedtime. You have inspired me David!
David Johnson: I trust they will be up to your 'National Trust Calendar' standards, no slippage, no excuses what what!
Nice clean shot, you time it well so nothing was coming the other way, I think it would have spoilt it.
So?
How do you do these night shot thingys anyway?
Is it magic?
David Johnson: Just shut my eyes and hang on until its finished......
