M61, Little Hulton, Manchester.

Oh Lord it rained all afternoon whilst the sun shone to the east and west, so much for the Granada local weather report. But at about 6.30 it stopped and I saw this. Another one clasping the camera to the handrail. Bit of the Motorway where there are still no lights, which helped I think. Just a RAW file tickled a bit with a shadow/ highlight and some history brush and a bit of selective dodge and burn. Did this at 900 pix which fits this new template nicely.

I hope you arent trying to steal my mantle as "The Premier Photographer of Manchesters Motorways'. I've won it back to back....unlike the egg kickers will on Saturday..ha ha ha ha!
David Johnson: Now is that the mantle where you left your car keys on or another one?????? Jeepers you know I kneel in your prescence when night time motorwy stuff appears, I'm just developing the 'late afternoon genre' Pointing Pyramid wise later....up't M60

Looks like the direction towards the sunset is more popular. It is funny how calm freeways look in these long exposure shots. Lovely work!
David Johnson: The noise was appaling all day, forgot my protectors and my headphones...dur....

Nicely executed shot. I'd bump up the contrast a tad though
David Johnson: Yep one of those funny ones, artographer had one the other day that didnt load up like it should and the PSD and Jpeg are darker than this. I've no idea why it looks a wee bit pasty.
Sweet. Absolutely sweet.
David Johnson: Cheers old son.
I love the way the curve leads into the photograph and right to the golden glow of the sunset. Excellent composition and view point. (:o)
David Johnson: Probably one of the few bits of Mway that dosn't have lights and goes west around these parts, sunset courtesy of Mother Nature.

Well seen, and well held. Like the way the light trails curve towards the susnet.
David Johnson: Stood here doing a vehicle check and it was just lashing down, thought the spray and lights would look good but couldn't capture that so this had to do.
Nicely captured - like the curves!

David Johnson: Thankee!!!
I like the way you have effectively got a classic night shot of car lights on a motorway but it's still daylight.
David Johnson: Thats the light from some cars being torched in Bolton...
It's a delightful picture. Efficient long pause picture ! The sky is divine !
David Johnson: Thanks Florence.
Dave ... remember the days of squeezing stripy toothpaste from the tube until it was empty? This is far more challenging and enjoyable. richard.
David Johnson: Do you remeber Ray Milland in the Fly...that catch phrase..'Help me...please help me......Stuck this on Flickr and its gone welll err Global, could use up all my witty bits and jousty replies in one evening just replying to the world.......thank God I go on holiday on Saturday.
