photoblog image On the way to the Eddie Rhed challenge,

On the way to the Eddie Rhed challenge,

Ah the lovliness of Stockport..as the song goes. Off to have a session at the Glass Umbrella, Stockports Glass covered Market. I know Ive snapped it before but seeing as my asbo stops me pestering people shopping, I can move around in the shadows at closing time. If you'd like to see Stopfordians have a camera shoved in their proximity click this  http://www.flickr.com/photos/maxblack/1354257761 and see the look of horror on old folks faces. Off on a jaunt down to the Gower Peninsula for some beach based fun, so don't think I'm being overly rude if I don't reply, hmmmm classic landscapes my style, oh managed to launch my newish 24-120 onto the concrete tonight.....well I don't like autofocus anyway.......

Contrails even at night? I like how this glows so warmly, but fades to a chilly blue in the sky.
David Johnson: Its around here that planes turn West to pop over the Pond, always loads about, have a plane light trail plumbed in for next week, crappy quality but i was over excited.
So luminous and bright. Warm. Once again, terrific sky.

Lovely shot, David! Sorry to hear about the death of your lens, and have a great trip to SWales.
David Johnson: Oh well it was a bit graunchy with a load of sand in it anyway, who needs autofocus when you have standards like mine......hmmm..the VR still works though!
I don`t know how you do this, but it is wonderful! (:o)
David Johnson: I just live in the fairytale land of Stockport, this was just a point and shoot hanging on to the edge of the overpass
I don't know why but this looks like a film set. I could almost imagine the back of those houses just to be scaffold. Perhaps I need a holiday too. Enjoy Wales!
David Johnson: 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' thats the film you were thinking of??? Oh yes packed me trunks and spade, if I get in the water I'll post an image!

Don't tell me you still have sodium lighting, or have you been tinkering with the colour balance??? In either case the yellow with the blue works a treat (The extreme colour contrast makes it look a bit like a Xmas card - in the sense that everything is still) Surreal image.
David Johnson: Never mind posting replies from your death bed, there's more important things in life than this old twaddle, harbouring any MRSA or can I take the rubber gloves off as I type???? Yes dear old Sodium lighting, does give Stockport that other worldly feel...oh apparently it is other worldly...no naffing about just get better!
Great shot, lovely tones. Have fun in the Gower.
David Johnson: Hope the pub has a telly...er with the Rugby on.....

ouch! Why does that kind of thing happen to new kit?

Love this though David, just the right time of day to catch that lovely sky to. mal
David Johnson: Ay, have to see what that 'International' warranty is made of!!!! 正直、それはちょうど! 働くことを止めた! as they say!!!!
This looks like an alien's eye view of Stockport! Love the contrast between the warm glow and the cool blue of the sky. Nights are drawing in!
Ingrid
David Johnson: As long as the rain keeps off, I dont mind the cold!
