photoblog image Another beach one....

Another beach one....

You may have noticed I've not posted any pics of sandcastle making or dam building, I was too busy carrying rucksacks and taking snaps!

David Johnson: Cheers Mal, stepped into the queue and left a comment on yours today, hope you like it!!!!
Sheer magic--I especially like the details in the tidal pool.
David Johnson: God bless that tokina 12-24, alright the cyan vignetting is a pain but its sharp where it needs to be
ok this is good you know it is,great shot.
David Johnson: This squeezed into my top ten I must say, see what happens when you really love somewhere!
Beautiful. The foregroud detail is superb. (:o)

Love the colours in this shot and the stormy atmosphere.
David Johnson: One of those funny days that could have gone either way weather wise, lucky to be here when the sun broke through.

stormy...really like the varying tones on the sand...
Beautyfull shot. I like the colour tones
David Johnson: This is one heck of a beach!
You mean I have stuck with you thro' this visual treat of pics of sky water and sand only to be denied the money shot at the end ;o). I bet you took your pack of six paper flags with you just in case. And don't get me going om the hours spent dam building - I think I must have reorganised the estuaries of North Wales seveveral times over in my youth.
David Johnson: Graduated on to 'Installation Art' of the flotsam and Jetsam type, sounds bad...it is! Inspired by Anthony Goldsworthys early stuff but without the talent!! Did go crabbing though, had 8 hanging off my mackeral and they were this big...........yeh should have had the camera out...doh, will upload "Mr Hobbs' the beach statue this week...bet ya can't wait!
Why the heck isn't a beach as great as this full of ''half termers'' ... I particularly like the blues and greys. richard.
David Johnson: Car park's a mile away, big trek down the cliffs to get here and I pointed all the signs the other way...well I had to, can't have ankle biters ruining ones jolly time

Another great beach shot David - it just works when you are at a place you obviously enjoy photographing. Those foreground reflections are spot on. Keep 'em coming, David.
David Johnson: Well alright another one tomorrow and then a breather, I have so much stuff backed up that I can't get to. Ha Llamas on Saddleworth moor today, weird, anyhow ta for the top comment and glad you like them.
Gosh what a sight for sore eyes! (Lol, just got back from the firework display at Fylde Rugby Club and the sparks were blowing our way.)
Wow David, I struggle to decide which of yours is my number 1. This is a beauty and I've got to have a re-think!

P.S. I saw a webpage with comparision shots of the Tokina and Nikon and when I saw the difference on the cyan vignetting, I dug deep into my pocket and got the Nikon but Nikon or not, it's going to take some while before I achieve anything like the standard of image you have here.
David Johnson: Get out on that beach, jeepers I'd be at Starr Gate every day if I still lived up there, well maybe not but I know how the light changes up there and the only way to catch it is to go and get it.......phew......yes should have flashed more cash but heck you have to work with what you've got and P shop helps with the corrections.
The sky on this shot is great, and the rest of it is pretty good too!

I think this is magnificent, not only the textures and colours but the huge depth to the picture too.
David Johnson: Ellie, was thinking where you'd gone to the other day!! Ta, can you tell I love this beach??????
This is excellent, like all the colours.
