photoblog image Comfy....

Comfy....

Yep they are a pain to get rid of, no bother, just chuck it on a bit of waste ground, that'll do the trick. Turned up the volume on the overlays, one in the foreground just in overlay and masked and one for the sky, inverted and blend mode switched to Vivid light and fiddled with the opacity and masked off with a big floppy brush......... you can see thte whole group of these over on here   http://www.flickr.com/photos/maxblack/      The overlays are bits of crud lying about near these images that have been added as an overlay layer........

That's very cool indeed! 'twould look right at home in some trendy gallery with a hefty price tag...
David Johnson: You mean there are people that would pay money for inconsequential fluff....hang on a minute, I used to have 2 galleries....I think you're right!!!!

Great PP! When I have seen the top of the picture it looked christmassy, and then ... naked truth... I have seen these thing over and over again (http://www.monika.shutterchance.com/photoblog/66972.htm), will we, so called humans, ever learn to not treat nature this way??
David Johnson: I think the answer to that is in the negative!

More beautiful trash! I am sure the purists would claim that this should be ugly, but I am enjoying this series.
David Johnson: Where there's muck there's Brass, as we sometimes say over here. Think I might need to shake myself out of this grunge/trash vigil.......as its near Christmas I feel the need for some festive fun pictures.....

nice bit of pping max ,you lose me whenyou start doing this sort of stuff.
David Johnson: Not sure which I'd give up first...Photoshop...or the old Fuji....hmmmmm, I did say to Blackdog that a spell back with the Leica and some FP4 might get me back into thinking of the captured(latent) image being the final form rather thinking.."I know what that would look like once I've mangled it in Pshop" and fiddlin and a faffing til all the juice is squeezed out. Did see some super crud film in the Pound shop at Stretford and was almost tempted today...may go back..
I like it but cant explain whysad
David Johnson: How do you know what my wife says about me???
Twaddle ... All these wordy accolades of 'christmassy' of 'posh gallery fodder' of
'liking it' Humph!!!! all I can see is bl--dy rubbish.;-

Mr Black ... It's crazy creative stuff from the other end of the spectrum ... Keep hitting us with stuff like this. richard.
David Johnson: I only live for accolades, blogging is the only thing that feeds the feverish beast within. Back in the late 90s when I still had my galleries I actually cobbled together some of the worst Pshopped images imaginable...we are talking botty fodder...blow me they sold.......I'm still laughing now... so I have a deep insight into what could be termed" Crowd pleasing " imagery. These would never go, even at sale time.......it is after all, just bloody rubbish! But part of my uncontrolled mania draws me back to this kind of imaging...Dr Trim...I need help!

I guess you used everything you know about PP, Dave. A little marvel you created here.
Tell us more about the galleries you used to have. That sounds intriguing.

David Johnson: Ah, Golden days, the Max Black empire sprawled across South Manchester, Framing the unframable, selling the incomprehensible...its Art madam! Started off framing pictures and then it hit some crazy exponential curve and it became a proper business, it almost killed me, funnily enough saw one of my old framers and he has set up his own place in a lovely low key kind of way......which has got me itchy again.....

Some people...arggggghhh! Treasure from trash though David, Turned prize next year?
David Johnson: We're still eating our way through the Turnip Prize! Silk purses mate, its the future, Ive tasted it.
Richard beat me to it - I was thinking `Turner Prize`. lol! (:o)
David Johnson: Alright, if it involves pots of cash and chatting to Alan Yentob then I'm up for it!
