Nice reflection of the sky in the windows !!!
David Johnson: Could see this happenindg as I drove towards it, just had to stop and snap.
Well your capture certainly enhances the utility architectural design. Manchester CC should buy this off you or let you be their promotions officer ;-) richard
David Johnson: Pretty grim inside, once collected an award for my allotment inside here......sheesh 1970's Eastern European!

I prefer to interpret this as a cynical statement about politics in general. Nice!
David Johnson: Ha, don't get me started!
Very nice reflection shot. I like the architecture
David Johnson: Thanks Richard

I spent too many years working for Gateshead MBC to get excited by this one. I bet they all have to work in openplan offices listening to the incessant ringing of phones... shudder!
David Johnson: So you're not bittr then???? Ive bn insid hr..its not nice and its not clever.
I suppose when these eyesores are finally being demolished, some of them will be listed. Not, I fancy, this one though.

The photograph is good though
David Johnson: Think this plac is bomb and fireproof, think it actually was part of the school that they rebuilt just behind and added the National Hockey centre to it for good measure
Looks like a block of Flax!
David Johnson: Arf,.....!
What a super shot! I love the flash of pink in the windows, the gold in the stairwell, and the red `Manchester`. (:o)
David Johnson: Crazy weather day Ros, had already been soaked trying to get a good snap off the top of Ikeas carpark

Creative use of a nice lighting technique! Reflections are now one of my favorite things in a photo.
David Johnson: Thanks Kay, top comment!

Now I am a big fan of sickly yellow, and those go together with the cold blues just perfectly - the red of the sign might help too. Might just lift your colours for a painting ;o) I can almost hear the echoing footfalls in that stairwell too, very pleasing image all round. So that's a yes ;o)
David Johnson: What have you done with your Broadband this time?? Been inside here to collect an award for my allotment...yep its really quite awful! Just unremtting concrete and brick, great for those echoes though, in normal light you'd go straight past this place.
