photoblog image Gt Clowes Street, Broughton, Salford.

Gt Clowes Street, Broughton, Salford.

Not the kind of area to find yourself lost in, survived by wearing my Shield of Invincibilty, Hi-Viz outfit, ID. and clipboard. Folk usually scuttle off or ask when their bins are going to be emptied. Off to do something today I havn't done in 30 years, no not have a bath, go down the jobcentre,  More time for snapping then and knock the urban farm into shape as well. Have buffed up the CV and made a paragraph look quite interesting.

Wonder if Cash Convertors would give me anything for a well used clipboard????????

Now if you substitute a Hi viz yellow outfit for a Cavalry Uniform, you may get the idea of how I got the boot!

Best of luck with the job search and with mending the saber!
David Johnson: Cash convertors wouldn't take the sabre but i got a good price for the gold buttons. Already found a job just need to work on my interview 'body language'
David, I really love the tonality you give to all your pictures !
David Johnson: Thanks Flroence, I do believe that the Fuji sensor plays a big part and always shooting in RAW

Well, David, you have an admirable talent for turning an everyday scene like this into an interesting shot.
David Johnson: I suppose it boils down to the fact that I love this kind of thing, had a wander around Stockport with my new lens yesterday and discovered a huge swathe of derelict Mill buildings that will probably keep me amused for weeks.

did the boss break your clipboard acroos his knee, rip the badge off the jacket and tellyou not to photograph his house again, what a s--- hole.
David Johnson: I appear to have , unknowingley, let the cat out of the bag concerning some information that was given to me in a free and open conversation, Ive since ripped it off t'internet but not before being informed, quite badly, that my services are no longer required. Anyway found a new job and must remember to check my flies and teeth before the interview.....this time.

Nice geometry and beautiful sky behind !!!
David Johnson: Thanks Ann, one of those shots I knew I had to take when I was in the area, had seen it in passing some months before
Good luck with the job search. Do I detect the familiar knife in the back? I'm looking too. The great playground selling venture has never got off the ground so I need to earn some money! Still seeing this picture reminds me that it could be a lot worse!
David Johnson: Not a knife, just pushed out of the main entrance by a third party, figuratively speaking. Already found something but have to persuade them that an old t*sser can bring a new dimension to their data collection.Could always dig out all the Picture framing gear.......
Great shot David and best of luck down the job centre!
David Johnson: Found an ideal post, no not watching Cricket for money, so have polished CV into a boiling firmament of positives, just have to interview well. Not done the jobcentre thing for 30 years but they were absolutely fantastic!!!

Very nice composition. I like the V shaped perspective. Best of luck to you!
David Johnson: Cheers mate.

Oh heavens, I'm sorry to hear you're job hunting, if it's any help - you're not alone.
David Johnson: Thanks god for the internet and search engines, so9 much work out there, tricky bit is persuading them that a creaky old git has something to offer!!!!

you really know how to process your photo's David, excellent stuff once againsmile
David Johnson: Gentleman of leisure for a while so I will be on photoshopcafe filling my head with new pixel polishing stuff!.....which is nice.
Sharpen up that sabre, watch all of Sam Peckinpah's films back-to-back for three days without sleep, then go hunt down your old boss...you know it makes perfect sense!
Hope somebody has the good sense to employ you soon!! smile
David Johnson: Hmmm started thinking about all my framing gear......do I dig it out of storage....do I cash it in and get more photographic gear........do I do the usual thing and think about it too much......, Ive slipped into that age demographic where B&Q and Tescos seem the only viable job opps!!
