Its Saturday, Its Raining and its Stockport..

At last some new stuff, wired up the dead 'puters HD trough a caddy to the laptop so relearning Pshop again. Oh hand held with no ND, just VR and braced against the railings, I actually did 2 shots which is v.v.v unsual 4 me as its usually one and I'm off....just to be sure the shutter speed /aperture combo got enough movement.

Just about to reach escape velocity! Good work.
David Johnson: Probably one of the most sedate kids rides in the Western world, but I like the imagerey of this approaching terminal velocity.

that is amazing for hand-held at that speed
David Johnson: Hats off the chaps and chapesses who make VR technology work, mind you handn't been to Borders for my Grande latte with extra shots so in 'pre-shake' mode myself.
I love this - the sense of speed, the colour... great shot!
David Johnson: Thanks Alison, never too sure if these turn out until they are uploaded.
Now I feel queezy!!! wink Looks much longer than 1s, well done for holding this David.
David Johnson: Slouched bracing technique now of to a fine art, anything but a tripod!!

oooh this is good.
David Johnson: Cheers Mate, wo needs sunshine eh?
With some of the little darlings these days this speed would be a good ideatongue. You have got this just right David
David Johnson: Straight into Macddees for a Mcflurry....that'll sort em!
The whirling contrasts nicely with the still, sad woman on the left.
David Johnson: Cheers Lary, I think it was only that womans child on the ride.
Curious feel to the scale of this ... Without the woman with the push chair in the shot I wouldn't have had a clue ... But that about sums me up anyway ;-0 richard
David Johnson: Thou needs to playest with masked blur to give the impression of titchiness/scale/ thingy, have a look at the 'tilt and shift' mob on flickr...

amazing amount of blur for 1sec m8 and i love the downward view of it, looks like a spinning top, remember themsmile
David Johnson: OOOh battling tops, kept us amused for seconds..., not sure of rbouts velocity but no trickery on the movement
I feel sick just looking at it!

The caddy trick worked for me when my laptop HD went putt.
