Marloes Beach with the Tide in

Well this is the same place as yesterday but with the tide in.....honest. Bit of the old Jurassic park look to this bit of coast at times, would like to be there when the really big Atlantic rollers come banging in, that must be a sight. Managed to scratch together some dry wood for a bonfire but suprisingly on this bit of coast not a lot of rubbish or flotsam to be found.

Interesting shot, Dave, with layered points of interest. From cold blue boulders, to strange cliffs, to funny skies, and then...boom...a burst of warmth in the upper right corner. Nice.

David Johnson: Can you tell I love this place....think Ive asked for 25% of my ashes to be sprinkled here when my times up.
The jaggered peaks in the background make such a contrast to the smooth rocks in the foreground, amazing capture!
David Johnson: The mixture of different rocks from various geological periods make this old beach something special, thanks for the comment.
It looks like it should be the set for a sci-fi film set on some alien planet.
Great depth of field and processing. It allsuits the subject.
David Johnson: Thanks Michael, I like this place so much that the pp on this was a real labour of love.

The colors and the perspective wow!
David Johnson: If you ever get a chance go there, reality is better.
Love the mixtue of shapes and textures. Really interesting shot. (:o)
David Johnson: Kind of place I could sit at all day, so much to take in and capture.
This is a fantastic place but so unreal as the same time... where you really on earth ?
smile Incredible picture !
David Johnson: Well actually Florence when I'm here I could be in heaven, its the sound of the place as wellthats special.
Nice shot. I like the colours and the contrast
David Johnson: Thanks Richard, for the comment and for calling in.
You've made Wales look like the frozen north! I love the perspective and the wonderful sky. Liked yesterday's too - trust you to find a bit of rubbish on such a pristine beach!

David Johnson: Something just beeps in my head when there's flotsam about, coastal or urban. Yeh could be Icelandic although I've never been there er just seen pictures.
another top shot ,love the pping, think you are getting good at this.
David Johnson: Must dig out the Leica and do some old skool stuff soon. See if I can still do it from straight out of the can.
Quite a dramatic feel to this shot.
David Johnson: Bernie I think that sums it up nicely.
Hell of a lot going on in this one, contrasts well with yesterdays. Plenty to look at and admire, nice one!
David Johnson: Cheers old chum, nice comment.
Can't help it but it makes me think of Joe Cornish. Must be the colours. But unlike him this has more edge to it. Could be the fight between the really cold blues and the dash of warmth on the rock face.

The big solid boulders to the fore help balance all the busyness most everywhere else.
David Johnson: Trying my best to keep to my ludicrous principles of 'one shot-full frame' image taking. Can't beat the crisp thwack of self imposed discipline to sharpen the observing process, had this in my minds eye as soon as I booked the holiday and scrambled around til I found it.Joe Cornish, hu I wish.. but give me a Fuji 6 x 17 panoramic and I'll give him a wrastle.

This is a wonderfully dramatic variation on the traditional beach scene. The foreground interest makes the shot. I like this a lot!
David Johnson: Thanks martin, very glad you like it. Feel that there's a bit of me in this!
This a very cool Catch. Good stuff my friend.
David Johnson: Ah Sesan, I see you're back. Thanks for the comment and for calling in.

Another cracking image David. What tablets do you take? Can't fault this one (not that I'd dare to anyway)- wonderful. David.
David Johnson: Thanks David, not sure if I can keep this up, think I'll swap tomorrows rocks for something different just to give you all a break. Make the most of this lot though as work is about to drag me into the nether world of Gorton, Rusholme, Levenshulme and Wythenshawe, which will probably chuck up a lot of counterpoints to this beach based fun.
Sorry David but this is too good. Please put something dud on display so that I can criticise it!
David Johnson: Think I mentioned I might chuck in a few spoilers as this replying to comments thing is seriously eating in to dedicated sport watching time...Carling cup on so about to see heroes thrashed by Tottenham,..... of all teams..........

OMG this is amazing - please can you let me know about the details eg time of day, filters, divine intervention that sort of thing.

Awestruck ;o)
David Johnson: Need to scan the metadata but about er 3 in the afternoon on a sparkly sunny but cloudy Sunday afternoon......er...a fuji S3 a dodgy tokina 12-24 and some old tossser who is known in some circles as 'Mr Photoshop' as in Homer Simpson being known as MR Plow(sic) Most important thing though is that I really love this place and wanted this to be special. Thats it then!
