Mr Hobbs, a short life between tides...

Ah Mr Hobbs bless him, he was only with us for a short time but will we ever forget that winning smile...ah. Should have saved that welding mask it was a belter. So, a trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and in one of the little Galleries was an exhibition of the early work of Anthony Goldsworthy, rolling around in Estuary Mud seemed to be one of his ways of expressing his art.....also making things from, well, rubbish! As you can see I have easily slipped from'Legend in his own Lunchtime' snapper to Emeritus Professor of all things Beach Sculptural..its a doddle this Art, where's me Turner Prize application pack??? What next, haha!! Anyone seen the work of Christo, wrapped stuff!!! Have a look at this   http://www.nga.gov/cgi-bin/psearch?Request=S&imageset=1&Person=247130 well I found a rip proof tarpaulin....hehehehehe!!!! But first or next(?) rock wrapping fun with a fishing net......

David Johnson: Think I might construct someone/thing on the allotment this weekend as I clearly have a natural talent for this kind of thing!!!!!!!

Pleased to meet you, Mr Hobbs. You are clearly having fun and producing some lovely photography in the process. Looking forward to more!
David Johnson: When he went he just gently keeld over and disappeared beneath the surf....isn't that how we would all like to pass on???????

I love it!! More of your sculpture please! I'd nominate you for the Turner Prize too.
David Johnson: Havn't you finished that stone yet??? Yes didn't fancy the Goldsworthy rolling around in estuary mud art type thing, too chilly, there are limits to creativity!! Have also done myself as a Gormley vacantly looking out to sea in the surf so will post that as well!

David Johnson: Playing around!!!!!!!!! this is art for the masses this is...........or not.
Where are Wallace and Gromit? You have a hidden talent David.
David Johnson: Theres lots of things that I keep hidden Bill, usuually with the assistance of medication....
And there I was thinking this was a self-portrait before I read your blurb! Tres amusant.

David Johnson: As its commonly known I have the physique of a racing snake but Mr Hobbs is too skinny even to be a passing resemblance....and hes got one leg.....and ginger hair.....
Very nice treatment here... i love this, funny and somehow dramatic (don't know why..., the sky probably). In my likey.
David Johnson: Maybe the drama was the brevity of his life, he lived between tides and was never seen again!
yeh yeh yeh! richard.
David Johnson: Is that a line from the Morecambe and Wise song'Exactly like You' as sung with Tom Jones???????
Bring back the ropegrin
David Johnson: Why, what's he done wrong?????????
