Hollywood in Stockport...a bit further on.

Ah Stockport, bit tatty around the edges...a bit tatty in the middle oh well ! Hollywood Park overlooking the M60, more of an open space really but a bit of greenery amongst the hard landscaping can't be too bad. Have posted this on Britain in Pictures and blow me its one of the faves and has been Numero Uno in Tom Angs choice !!!!! just click the link and have a gander   http://www.bbc.co.uk/apps/ifl/britain/gallery/showrecord?Id=574521464

or this should be it.  http://www.bbc.co.uk/apps/ifl/britain/gallery/queryengine?pagesize=20&page=1&attrib_1=is_tom_ang_favourite&oper_1=gt&val_1_1=0;panel=tomAng;sort_1=dateadded;sortsense_1=DESC

Being a humble soul I won't let it go to my head...............stuff that whoooohooooo ripdangdoody

This was a double hue/sat black and white conversion with a bit of emphasis on getting the greens lighter.

That Tom Ang is a funny fella isnt he?
Anyway - STOP POSTING MONO'S PLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSSSE?
This is 21st Century! The future is now!
I really want to see this in colour.
Is that a De Havilland i see?
David Johnson: He makes me laugh, that story about the Vicar, 3 rolls of FP4 and the verger in a closet always cracks me up....colour one tomorrow just for you as it was going to be another antique mono, actually in colour this is a bit flat..... anyway thats a Douglas Dakota DC-3 from Silver City airlines making its final approach from the Isle of Man (google it, I used to live under the flightpath when I were nowt but a nipper)
A bit tatty maybe but makes for a nice photograph.
David Johnson: I'm on the lookout for converging verticals and aircraft all the time now, think I need help again.

I really like this shot but I have to say the DC-3 made it for me.

David Johnson: I was waiting for a Jumbly Jet but hanging around in a kids play area when you look as old and dodgy as me was not the done thing!
This is a great shot - I've been watching the programme. Better than most of the featured photographers too. Well done. Mike
David Johnson: Suprised me this got on, I thought some of the other stuff I put up was much stronger, leave all that chat and judging to the prefessurnals then!
I've lived in Stockport for 26 years, and thought I recognised the area. I have a picture of Hollywood Park when the sun was setting, but at a higher point.

The play area is in a bit of a state I would certainly agree with you on that point.
David Johnson: Had a peep at your fantastic Hollywood park image, Ive also saved 15 quid by not going to the Dr Who exhibition now, thanks for taking those.
