photoblog image Tin type.

Tin type.

Rust, I love it, corrugated, even better, and tie in the fact this is from the badlands of Stockport, well!

Anyone else have a Friday the 13th like me, still a bit befuddled and havn't even got around to uploading the resultant images from my phone!!!!! Ha, it may be revealed tomorrow.

Yes I havn't flipped or distorted this but stood there at a funny angle, hardly any PP ing, ah, yawn...... ho hum....

I am with you on the rust smile This looks more like a beautiful picture of a botched paint job, though. Good stuff!
David Johnson: Friend of mine does this paint effect thing in nightclubs and bars, very good stuff it is too, but I like the original stuff best.
Count me another rust fan, and a fan of dramatic compositions like this one, too.
David Johnson: I live in the land of Rust and Angles, where shabby and unkempt are a lifestyle choice...Stockport!
I, too, am a fan of the rusty and decrepit.

I guess the aesthetic popularity of rust, flaking paint, rotting wood smooth rounded pebbles and things decomposing in their own special way etc etc etc is what it's all about. It's the length of time taken to achieve it. So much more character than some squeaky clean bits and pieces in our environments. Just counting the number of words David ... Your nearest and dearest will have to rethink her stereotypical perception of men... smiles.
David Johnson: Ha, wife not looking over my shoulder so I can easily slip into my eager alto mode! If she ever learns how to turn on my computer my life, in its current form, will cease to exist.Rust, hmm, I like it and see it as a metaphor for my own oxidation from racing snake to couch potato, and the worst bit is, I didn't see it happening.
Nice shot and I'm intrigued by your Friday 13th - thankfully mine was all very dull and boring.
David Johnson: Car crash!

Looks like a painting, great view point.
David Johnson: Think the slightly out of focus area at the front gives it an odd painted look, will have to go off and experiment!
