In Sheffield for a couple of hours so came back over the Snake pass and saw this plume of smoke. Anyway I know they burn off the heather so new shoots will..er shoot for the game birds to nibble but I think this bit of burning got out of hand..as we got to Ladybower we were met by a convoy of Fire engines legging it..ooops..

One day the metro will turn up here, one day. State of the Art Metro station lacking that vital ingredient to make it work, yes Trams, excellent idea to build the infrastructure but would be handy for this to be part of an integrated transport system, whoops we Greater Mancunians voted against it. All that work I did videoing traffic and Bus occupancy consigned to the bin. Pay back in about 5 years time when the whole of Manchester grinds to a halt during Rush hour! Oh my lord Ive climbed onto my soapbox again!!

Was watching a Container ship serenley ploughing along, so got the binoculars out and it looked like a scaled up version of the Wild Mouse on Blackpool Pleasure Beach was taking place. Immense respect to those sailor chaps! You can see how cargo gets lost.
